The Adrar Ahnet, located north-west of the Hoggar, is composed of sites of astonishing diversity; a variety of Saharan landscapes are concentrated in this area. It also provides shelter to a lot of rock paintings. Ahnet was located on one of the most ancient caravan routes linking Tripoli, Ghadames, In Salah and Gao.
